God Weaves

Creativity is a word where an individual can creatively imagine things in numerous ways. We are created in the image of God, and we can see and learn about God's creation. He is a great artist, painting and using all kinds of hues. He is the Creator of all creation.

Ephesians 2:10 (NASB)- "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."   

 

God's Abundant Joy

Today, I want to share how my life was as I struggled for years to find the true abundance of God’s joy.

Having had Christian counseling training and a bit of a psychology background, I am keen to understand and examine myself about my purpose in life. In psychology, there is a particular field called ‘Developmental Psychology’ in which we learn about a life-span beginning from conception till death. Throughout half of my life-span, I should say much of it was not pleasant. There were times of despair, grief over the death of parents, unfulfilled dreams, desires, battling an illness, and emotional breakdown as a result of wrong choices. 

One thing I am happy about is that God knew about all of these hurts before they happened. 

Psalm 139:13-14 (NASB) -- "For You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.  I will give thanks to You, for I am awesomely and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well."

God knew me before I could imagine the events that happened in my life.  

He comforted me with the truth that God knew it altogether. He is a sovereign God. He uses all my setbacks and weaves them together as different patches into a single, beautiful tapestry.  What a blessing it is when we eagerly wait on Him and see His plans.  I can only see part of the big picture of my life, but He sees the whole picture, and He knows how to complete it. I stand in awe for who God is. 

 

I would like to once again remind each one of us to not fear about anything for He has each one of us in His palms.  Isaiah 49:16 (NIV) says “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me."

 

 

Daphi sha I Syiem lives in the Northeastern part of India.  She loves the Lord. She loves nature, which is God's own handiwork, and any creative arts, especially the little and  cute things.  She just graduated with a Christian counseling degree and is still waiting on the Lord for many more things God has in store for her. She is a family person, spreading peace and love.
