The following is personal in the sense that I share a detail of my life, a sentence from my book which you might consider of little or no consequences to yourself.

 

If I were to merely share the incident, I may effect some scrap of sympathy from you, the reader, and then you would shrug the matter aside and concentrate on situations more relevant to your own circumstances.

But, my life is not actually about me or the choices I've made or that others have made affecting me, nor is my story merely a chronicle of events and happenings. My life was planned before the beginning by the Creator of life. My story is about Him, the Author, who oversees every cause and effect and makes everything happen as He has written it so that all may know that He is God over all.

He wrote His own story and lived His own life as a man so that we might know Him and the power of His glory.

So I have written about Him, from my own perspective, and then from another's, praying that you, the reader, will yearn to know Him better and to honor in your heart the Lord who is Most High over all the earth! …................................................................

Recently, our Father blessed us with a new baby, and then, by His wisdom, took it.

Avery, the name chosen for our baby, means "wisdom,” reminding us to trust the wisdom of our good and sovereign Lord . . .

Who "by wisdom founded the earth; [and] by understanding . . . established the heavens."

(Proverbs 3:19)

Who, by wisdom "does all that He pleases," accomplishing exactly what He intends,

when He intends, and for the purpose He intends. (Psalm 115:3)

Before the beginning, He knew

     and planned

     for me to be.

Before the beginning, He loved me.

     By wisdom

He Himself made me,

     and I belong to Him.

For Himself He made me,

     and now I am with Him.

He appointed the time for me to live,

     stirring wonder in those who knew

     I was being formed in secret,

bringing joy to those who longed to greet me,

displaying glory by His wisdom

     and power to create new life

     and give good gifts

according to the purpose of His will.

     By wisdom . . .

He appointed the time for me to die,

    stirring grief in those who know

    how contrary death is to the Creator's design,

bringing tears to those who longed for life,

causing broken hearts to cry out for faith

     to trust and hope and believe

     that the purpose of His will

     is good and just and right.

     By wisdom . . .

He appointed His Spirit to come,

     stirring faith in those who know

     the power of His resurrection,

bringing hope to those who long for life,

causing grieving hearts to sing for joy,

     because they know that for those who love Him,

     He works all things together for good

according to the counsel of His will.

He planned

     and knew and loved.

By wisdom He gave.

By wisdom He took.

He is

     ALWAYS

only

     GOOD.

according to the counsel of His will."
